Dr. Emnine Lefevre, LCSW, earned her doctorate from Capella University and brings over 25 years of dedicated experience in the mental health field. She has worked extensively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), the homeless population, and children and adolescents from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Dr. Lefevre is committed to supporting individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, codependency, grief and loss, indecisiveness, and major life transitions. She also has extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with complex psychiatric conditions, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and various personality disorders.
With a deep passion for trauma recovery, Dr. Lefevre specializes in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), helping clients heal from deeply painful and life-altering experiences. Her approach integrates a wide array of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She also incorporates Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to meet the unique needs of each client.
In addition to traditional therapeutic approaches, Dr. Lefevre integrates holistic practices such as guided meditation, mindfulness techniques, and Christian counseling for clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process. Fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, she provides culturally competent care and ensures that language is never a barrier to healing.
