Donny Blount, LAMFT

Therapist

I have a passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families through the challenges that life may bring. During the last few years working in both community mental health and private practice settings, I truly feel fortunate to do work that allows me to support others in navigating the complexities of life and relationships.

Through my military upbringing, work in the hotel industry and participating in collegiate athletics, I’ve had the unique opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life. These experiences have shaped my belief that no matter the background, everyone deserves to feel heard and understood. I enjoy the privilege of guiding clients through a wide range of challenges in a way that’s compassionate, supportive, and rooted in authenticity.

In therapy, I blend a variety of proven modalities to help my clients move toward their goals. I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy, while also incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies. This eclectic approach allows me to tailor therapy to people’s unique circumstances, helping them develop healthier communication patterns, work through challenging emotions, and cultivate deeper, more meaningful connections.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll find me traveling or exploring the outdoors with my partner and our dog. These activities help me stay grounded, inspired, and connected to the world around me. I believe deeply in the potential for growth and healing through compassionate, authentic connection. I’m here to walk alongside you as you work toward your personal and relational goals.
