Dava McCoy, LCMFT, C-DBT, CCTP

Clinic Director, Therapist

Dava McCoy is a clinically licensed marriage and family therapist licensed in Kansas, Missouri, and California with over 14 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. She has worked in a variety of settings and with clients with a wide range of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, codependency, attachment issues, phase of life transitions, and interpersonal development. She has helped many people who have experienced abuse, neglect, trauma, and grief/loss. Her therapy style is warm, transparent, and interactive. She believes that trust and communication are the fundamental bases of any therapeutic relationship. She prides herself in treating every individual that she encounters with respect, sensitivity, compassion, and fairness. She doesn’t believe in stigmatizing labels or allowing diagnosis to define oneself. Dava has found that every client she has ever encountered is stronger and braver than they even can imagine and that no clinical term can define their story or their worth! Her main treatment modalities include cognitive-behavioral, family systems, structural, solution-focused, trauma-informed, and dialectical-behavioral therapeutic approaches. She will tailor a dialog and treatment plan to meet her client’s unique and specific presenting needs and goals. It takes courage to seek therapeutic assistance and to take the first steps towards creating real and lasting change in life.

If you are ready to take that step, Dava is here to support and empower you throughout your journey. Thank you again for your time and consideration!
