Courtney has a lifelong passion for learning and an empathic dedication to helping others reach their goals while building on their strengths. He is a retired Army Veteran with 26 years of military service and developed a strong commitment to counseling Soldiers through challenges related to military transitions, family dynamics, behavioral health, and life stressors.
Courtney also has extensive experience supporting women during difficult seasons, including work with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy, reproductive loss, postpartum depression, infertility, and the transition to motherhood. He is experienced in advocating for survivors of sexual assault and sexual harassment.
Using a collaborative, client-centered approach, Courtney tailors interventions to each client’s goals and needs. His therapeutic tools include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and self-compassion techniques. Courtney strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, supported, and understood. He is ready to meet you where you are and begin the journey to wellness together.
