Colby is a master’s level psychotherapist with a degree in Counseling from DePaul University, specializing in College Counseling and Student Affairs. She has extensive experience working in community mental health settings, where she continues to serve part-time, and is passionate about providing therapy that fosters growth, resilience, and empowerment.
Colby takes an integrative approach to therapy, combining Person-Centered Therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating diverse treatment methods to best support her clients. She specializes in working with adolescents and adults, helping them navigate life transitions, relationships, and personal challenges.
Her clinical experience includes treating major depression, anxiety, unresolved trauma—including various forms of abuse—family conflict, and intergenerational trauma within BIPOC families. Colby is particularly passionate about stress reduction, women’s issues, and conflict resolution, helping clients develop healthy coping strategies and achieve meaningful change.
Colby believes that everyone has the potential to grow beyond their past experiences. She strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, develop self-awareness, and build the skills necessary to thrive.
Outside of therapy, Colby enjoys cooking, exercising, dining out with family and friends, decorating, streaming new shows, and indulging in fashion, makeup, and skincare.
