Clara is committed to helping her clients navigate various mental health diagnoses as well as
anxiety, relationship challenges and major life transitions. Through a client-centered,
neuro-affirming lens, Clara works primarily with adults, individually or in couples, and also has
experience working with teens.
She earned her MSW at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work. Clara leads with curiosity, offering
a compassionate space for clients to feel heard and seen as they unpack their stories at their
own pace. Her specialties are in neurodivergence and trauma. Clara is passionate about her
work, empowering her clients along their journey of self-exploration. Her approach is also rooted
in an intersectional understanding, to address the whole person.
Clara draws upon a variety of evidence-based modalities to meet clients where they are in their
therapeutic process. She is trained in Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT),
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Brainspotting, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as Emotionally Focused
Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Level 1 for couples.
Before joining Ellie Mental Health, Clara worked remotely in group practice in MD and NY,
providing individual psychotherapy. She has also previously worked in various high schools and
a Head Start Program in NYC.
