If therapy feels a little intimidating, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re unsure where to start, or maybe your brain is juggling way too many tabs open at once. Whether you’re carrying old wounds, dealing with anxiety that won’t quit, or trying to figure out who you are and where you’re going—I’m here to walk with you through it.
I’m Citlali (she/her), a licensed social worker who works with teens, young adults, and adults to navigate identity, relationships, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. In session, I show up with warmth, grounded energy, subtle humor, and the kind of gentle challenge that invites growth. I ask thoughtful questions and offer practical perspectives that help things click. I also help you notice the patterns that might be holding you back—especially the ones formed long ago that still show up in your present.
I specialize in working with clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, personality dynamics, trauma, identity issues, cultural concerns, distress tolerance, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about exploring your relationship with yourself, understanding how early experiences impact your adult life, and helping you reconnect with your values and inner strength. Whether you’re struggling with negative self-talk, relationship patterns, or simply feeling stuck, I want therapy to be a place where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.
I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating a variety of life experiences. I have experience supporting first-generation individuals, Spanish-speaking clients, and those exploring cultural identity or navigating the pressure of balancing multiple roles and expectations. I also work with people who are in the process of discovering or reconnecting with their sense of self—whether that means building confidence, clarifying their values, or finding direction during a period of transition. My clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. We work together to slow things down, sort through what’s underneath, and build momentum for meaningful change—including for older adults who may be doing this work for the first time.
My style meets you where you are—whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning with more questions than answers. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. My approach is strength-based, relational and thoughtful. I use a blend of solution focused-person-centered therapy, including CBT, DBT, ERP, trauma-informed care, and family systems. You can expect therapy with me to feel supportive, reflective, and steady—with moments of humor and realness along the way. I’ll help you explore what’s under the surface, connect the dots from past to present, and develop tools to navigate stress, relationships, and the big (sometimes scary) process of growing into yourself.
Through our work together, you’ll begin to develop a deeper understanding of yourself—where your patterns come from, how they’ve shaped your relationships and self-talk, and what you actually need to feel more grounded and connected. We’ll build emotional awareness, strengthen your coping tools, and help you feel more confident setting boundaries, expressing your needs, and trusting your own voice. Over time, many clients walk away with a clearer sense of identity, improved communication and social skills, and the ability to make choices that feel aligned with who they are and what they truly value. Whether you’re navigating a specific challenge or just trying to feel more at home in your own skin, therapy can help you reconnect with your inner strength and move forward with clarity.
You don’t need a “perfect reason” to come to therapy. You don’t even have to know where to start. I’ll meet you where you are—with patience, empathy, and curiosity. Together, we’ll start uncovering, healing, and exploring what matters most to you. As I often remind clients: the way we learned to survive doesn’t have to be the way we continue to live. You’re allowed to grow. You’re allowed to change. And therapy can be the space where that begins.
