Cassidy Kennedy, LSW

Therapist

Hi, I’m Cassidy Kennedy (she/her), a Licensed Social Worker who shows up in the therapy room with warmth, humor, and a grounded, mature presence. I’m the kind of therapist who welcomes all parts of you—especially the messy, uncertain, unsure-of-where-to-start parts. You don’t need to have it all figured out before coming in. Whether you know exactly what you want to work on or you’re just starting to explore what’s going on underneath the surface, I’ll meet you with compassion, directness, and a safe space to sort it out together.

In session, I bring a balance of empathy and real talk. My clients often describe me as bubbly, but steady—someone who can make you laugh, gently challenge your thinking, and stay present with the harder stuff. I want you to feel both supported and empowered. I believe therapy is a collaborative process: I’m here to help you get curious about your patterns, deepen your insight, and build the tools you need to navigate life with more clarity and confidence.

I especially enjoy working with teens, emerging adults, and adults navigating identity development, family dynamics, and life transitions. I have experience supporting individuals through anxiety, ADHD, depression, and low self-esteem, as well as challenges related to separation, divorce, blended families, parenting, and relationship stress. I have a particular passion for working with those who are re-building their sense of self after big life changes—or trying to figure out who they are in the first place.

My clinical approach draws from a mix of evidence-based methods including CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused work, and person-centered care. I like to tailor our work to what fits best for you, your goals, and how you process. I’ll help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, improve your emotional regulation, and build healthy communication and conflict resolution skills.

I also have experience working with military families, LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals adjusting to life after significant relational change. Whether you’re managing stress, struggling to set boundaries, or wanting to reconnect with your sense of identity, I’ll be in your corner—providing a safe space to share, offering perspective, and celebrating your growth.
My hope is that after working together, you leave with a stronger sense of purpose, increased self-awareness, and practical skills to navigate your world. Therapy isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being real, making meaningful changes, and learning to trust yourself again. I look forward to starting this process with you.
