Therapist

“One theory of therapy states that if obstacles are removed, the individual will develop into a mature, fully realized adult, just as an acorn will develop into an oak tree…My task is to remove obstacles blocking my patient’s path.” Irvin Yalom.

I truly believe that there is a kind, curious, strong, confident person inside of each of us. Throughout our lives, things like trauma, loneliness, abuse, high-demand religion, and family dynamics get in the way of our amazing potential. You don’t need me to teach you how to communicate, how to be more self reflective, or how to truly be your authentic self… My role is to help you identify and shift the things that are getting in the way of the inspiring human being already inside you! As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I know that we are shaped by all the people, experiences, and systems around us. It is only by acknowledging the things that have shaped us that we are able to create true and meaningful change in ourselves. I use a collaborative, relational, and attachment-based approach to create a genuine relationship with each client in order to best understand their experiences, struggles, and goals. Just as I hope to help you find and embrace your human-ness, I show up as a real person, too. Therapy with me includes laughter, tears, challenges, inside jokes, comfort, accountability, and empowerment.

I have found incredible fulfillment working with adults ages 18 and older as well as couples and families. I provide in-person appointments at the Woodlands location and virtual appointments throughout the rest of Texas.
