Aprille Arena, LCSW

Therapist/Supervisor

Aprille approaches therapy with curiosity and warmth, working with late-diagnosed neurodivergent adults, mothers in the perinatal stage, and parents of children with disabilities. She collaborates with clients to determine the best therapeutic modalities and strategies. Beyond addressing past issues, therapy with Aprille focuses on healing, growth, and thriving. Trained in CBT, DBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, perinatal mental health, and narrative therapy, Aprille has been providing therapy since 2017. After earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, she is currently completing a PhD in Social Work at the University of Denver, researching systemic barriers in mental health care, clinician well-being, and policies supporting parents of children with disabilities. Aprille also teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels, appreciating the synergy of clinical practice, teaching, and research in improving mental health care.
