April is an LMSW dedicated to supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, grief, life transitions, and patterns of self-criticism or emotional overwhelm. April has experience working with clients who struggle with avoidance, burnout, difficulty with emotional regulation, and challenges related to balancing responsibilities while supporting their own well-being.
Throughout her work, April integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and elements of Problem-Solving Therapy. April also incorporates behavioral activation, mindfulness, and practical coping strategies to help clients build structure, reduce overwhelm, and increase emotional awareness. A strong emphasis is placed developing self-compassion, reducing rumination, and shifting unhelpful thinking patterns.
April enjoys working with adults facing life transitions, co-parenting challenges, stress related to work or caregiving, and those looking to improve communication and set healthy boundaries. Her approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, focusing on creating realistic, manageable steps toward change while encouraging clients to become more proactive in their daily lives.
