Anna R. Motta has been a therapist since 2017. Anna’s clinical services include individual counseling with adolescents and adults. Her therapeutic approach reflects integrative influences derived from her training in cognitive-behavioral therapy including rational emotive behavioral therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing approaches. She has training and special expertise with the following issues: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, women issues, postpartum depression, sexuality/gender issues, life transitions, LGBTQIA+ community, and grief. Anna also has experience in family medical offices, involving collaborative care treatment programs, where she has worked on a clinical team of medical providers and psychiatrists. Anna uses a holistic approach in her counseling and believes in meeting the client where they are in life. Anna also enjoys the option to be creative in sessions and including different forms of self-expression such as art, music and humor. Anna is originally adopted from Brazil, grew up in Pennsylvania, and has been in North Carolina since 2008. When Anna is not in the office she enjoys being outdoors, sleeping with her cat, drawing, being around family, and watching movies/documentaries.
