Therapeutic approach:
I appreciate that trusting someone with some of your most darkest, painful, and personal moments in life can be truly terrifying. As a counselor who has sat in the patient chair, I strive to create a genuine and authentic space for honest conversations to take place. My goal is to support you moving through your healing journey in whatever way this looks and feels for you, while also challenging you to grow and make meaningful change. We can explore any areas that come up in the therapeutic process and connect these back to your goals you are working towards.
I welcome collaboration and partnership in truly finding the therapeutic approach, tools, and modality that feels right for you. I will meet you where you are and I am committed to ensuring you feel seen and are experiencing benefits and growth from therapy.
About Me:
I am a Colorado Native. I grew up in a few different towns across the front range throughout my life. My own life experiences led me to entering the counseling profession as I developed a passion to sit with others in their times of struggle. Over the years in the field I have worked with adults facing substance use and/or mental health disorders. I have worked in a variety of settings including day shelters for unhoused in the community, intensive outpatient for drug court participants, intensive inpatient treatment for incarcerated individuals, and most recently adult outpatient.
Each environment has lent a learning experience on the unique needs of each person as well as the dynamics of community mental health and has helped me be challenged and develop as a therapist, but mostly as a person.
