Andy (he/they) is a genderfluid counselor who has been providing individual therapy since 2022 as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA.) He has worked with a variety of adults who identify in the 2SLGBTQIA+, non-binary/transgender, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities where he incorporates intersectionality through his systematic, trauma-informed lens.
They also embody their therapeutic practice with knowledge and allyship in communities such as diverse spiritual and religious practices, polyamory and ethical non-monogamy, kink and sex-positive, and chronic health and pain.
Andy finds excitement and fulfillment particularly with guiding clients in navigating acute, chronic, and complex PTSD/trauma, dissociation, anxiety, depression, life adjustment, grief, and family and relationship difficulties. They aim to help clients regulate their nervous systems, find acceptance with all parts of themself, and tap into the curiosity and power of their inner healer.
His main therapeutic modalities include Internal Family Systems-informed (IFS/Parts Work), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inner Child Work, strengths-based therapy, and person-centered counseling. Due to being holistic and eclectic in nature, Andy will also dabble and integrate work from sand tray therapy, attachment-based therapy, narrative counseling, polyvagal theory, CBT, and DBT-informed.
In Andy’s free time, he is enjoying doing written roleplay with friends online, tabletop RPG, playing indie video games, reading, watching anime, doing puzzles, collecting crystals and gemstones, creating art, and going to cultural events and local craft markets.
