Andressa is a Supervisee in Social Work, who received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. Andressa has experience in community-based services aimed at supporting underserved families, as well as in a private practice setting where she facilitated individual and group therapy. She specializes in working with teens, adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, everyday life stressors, relationship issues and major life transitions. Andressa utilizes a strength-based, person-centered and solution-focused approach integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and motivational interviewing to effectively meet the unique needs of each individual. Her goal is to create an inviting and non-judgmental environment for individuals to feel safe and supported! Andressa believes in your capacity to heal and change, recognizing that you are the expert of your own life! She is driven to guide you to explore more about your personal goals and inner strengths.
During Andressa’s free time she enjoys spending time with her dog and thrifting.
