Anda is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Counseling degree from Johns Hopkins University. She is a passionate counselor who strives to cultivate a therapeutic environment that is warm, accepting, and a safe space. She has experience working with elementary school-aged children and adolescents navigating adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, autism, trauma, aggression related behaviors, and grief and loss. Anda also has experience collaborating and working with parents and guardians through psychoeducation and family therapy to determine effective coping strategies and techniques for their children, as well as work through existing familial relationship issues. She is excited to continue her work with children, adolescents, and families, as well as young adults facing everyday challenges, or who may be struggling with diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, or significant life events. Anda believes in taking a multidimensional and integrative approach to accommodate each individual client’s circumstances, utilizing techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child-Centered Play Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Behavioral Rehearsal, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Outside of counseling, she enjoys spending time with her cat, trying out new recipes, and creating new memories with family and friends.
