Amandamay Naquin-Eason is a warm and compassionate License Professional Counselor Associate who is currently supervised by Kelli Reny, MA, LPC-S. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling with a focus on Clinical Mental Health, earned 2024 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Human Services from Sam Houston State University in 2018. She has valuable experience working with families in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, Child Protective Investigations and navigating the family court system through the Attorney General’s office. She has also conducted a study focused on teacher support, parental incarceration, and the impact of low academic achievement on justice-involved youth. In addition to her experience in various professional capacities, she is trained in both Level 1 and Level 2 of the Gottman Method for couples’ therapy.

Amandamay is deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate the complex challenges of life. She believes in fostering authentic and genuine connections, honoring clients as the experts in their own lives. Through her collaborative approach, clients uncover meaningful insights and are supported in recognizing that even in moments of breaking, unexpected growth can arise. Grounded in Person-Centered and Narrative Therapy, Amandamay empowers clients to rewrite the stories they tell about themselves. Integrating motivational interviewing into her practice cultivates an atmosphere of unconditional positive regard, enabling clients to explore their experiences with clarity, gain valuable insights, and align their actions with their core values.

Amandamay takes an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring her techniques to respect the unique needs of each client. Drawing from methods like motivational interviewing, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, and trust-based relational interventions, she creates a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth. Amandamay works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples, always prioritizing cultural sensitivity and respect for individual experiences. She is deeply committed to helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, suicidal ideation, family conflicts, relationship struggles, crisis intervention, grief, stress management, and work-life balance.
