Allison is a Queer-identified Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and uses she/they pronouns. She earned her master’s degree from University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2007. Prior to joining Ellie Mental Health she worked in multiple settings including schools (ages 5-21), integrative care, and group practice. She is an LGBTQIA+ affirming and gender affirming clinician. She has over 16 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as the parents of children with emotional and behavioral disorders and other disabilities. Her areas of expertise include supporting adolescents and young adults that are experiencing a range of issues including gender dysphoria, exploring gender and sexuality, mood disorders, anxiety, autism, anger management, behavioral disorders, emotional regulation, impulsivity, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. She also specializes in counseling parents/families of children with disabilities or other adjustment issues. She works from an intersectional, non-condemning, strength-based perspective and recognize the potential for growth, change, and healing in every person. She utilizes a warm, supportive, non-judgemental approach to helping clients address their challenges.
