Nia Butler, LCSW

Clinical Manager

Life doesn’t always slow down when we need it to—but sometimes it asks us to pause anyway. Whether you’re navigating grief, adjusting to changes in your health, feeling the effects of burnout, or moving through a new phase of life, it can feel heavy to carry it all on your own. Therapy can be a space to slow things down, take a breath, and begin to make sense of what you’ve been holding—at your pace, in your way.

Hi, I’m Nia Butler. I’m a Clinical Manager and therapist who works with teens through older adults, with a special passion for supporting aging adults and individuals moving through meaningful life transitions. My style is warm, inviting, and empowering. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to grow, and respected for everything you bring into the room—your story, your identity, your culture, and your lived experience.

One of the most important things I want you to know is that you don’t have to come into therapy with everything figured out. You don’t need a perfect explanation or a clear starting point. We’ll figure that out together. I see therapy as a collaborative process—one where we build goals as we go, explore what matters most to you, and take intentional steps toward feeling more grounded and supported in your everyday life.

My clinical work focuses on grief and loss, chronic illness, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and the emotional weight that can come with life transitions. I’m especially passionate about supporting aging adults as they navigate changes in identity, independence, relationships, and health. These moments can bring up a mix of emotions—grief, uncertainty, reflection—and they deserve space, care, and understanding.

I also work with individuals navigating chronic fatigue, healthcare burnout, complicated grief, and the long-term impact of stress. Whether you’re a caregiver, a professional feeling stretched thin, or someone simply trying to keep up, we’ll work together to create space for restoration and clarity.

As a clinician, I bring a strong awareness of how culture, identity, and systemic experiences shape mental health. I have experience working with BIPOC individuals and communities, and I strive to provide a space that feels culturally responsive, affirming, and grounded in understanding. Your experiences are not separate from your mental health—they are part of the full picture, and they matter here.

In our work together, we may explore relationships, boundaries, parenting dynamics, self-esteem, and personal values. I believe that understanding your values and honoring your experiences can be powerful tools for creating meaningful change and living in alignment with what feels true to you. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered practices. I balance reflection with practical tools—helping you build insight while also developing strategies that support you outside of our sessions.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, exploring new cultures, and finding cozy coffee shops—those small moments of connection and curiosity are important to me, and they often show up in how I approach my work with clients.

My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more connected to yourself, more trusting of your experiences, and more confident in your ability to navigate life as it unfolds. You’ve already done so much to get to this point—and that matters. There’s no need to rush the process. Growth happens in layers, and you don’t have to do it alone.

If you’re looking for a space to reflect, reset, and move forward with intention, I’d be glad to work alongside you.
