Maddie Dougherty, LAPC

Therapist

Maddie (she/her) is a licensed associate professional counselor who received her masters in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Chestnut Hill College.

She has spent her career working with eating disorder clients at the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care, working with adolescents, young adults, and middle aged adults. However, Maddie’s experience is not limited to working with eating disorders. She has worked with clients struggling with trauma, body dysmorphia, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression. Maddie provides a gentle and relational approach, creating a nonjudgemental safe space for her clients. She uses evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Maddie utilizes a somatic, trauma informed, and a person centered lens in sessions as well. Her clients feel seen and heard as nurturing the therapeutic relationship is paramount to Maddie. Her clients enjoy her “bubbly” personality and her innate instinct to meet vulnerability with grace and compassion.
