Betty is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from New York. She brings over a decade of experience providing individualized, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive therapy to individuals, families, and couples across community agencies, outpatient settings, and private practice. She approaches her work with professionalism, authenticity, and enthusiasm, fostering a supportive yet thoughtfully challenging environment that promotes meaningful growth and healing. She proudly continues to serve adults, couples, and families with adolescents ages 13–19.
Betty is passionate about working with adult trauma survivors. She is EMDR-trained and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II. Additionally, she is a Certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator for both couples and groups and has extensive knowledge of relationships and human systems. For individual clients, this creates opportunities to move beyond the surface of problems and gain a deeper understanding of personal experiences and relationships.
Her style is down-to-earth, direct, insightful, empowering, and transformative, supporting lasting change. She is known for engaging clients warmly, keeping sessions goal-focused, and guiding clients toward change that feels safe. As a Hispanic clinician, she values cultural humility and supports BIPOC individuals while affirming the LGBTQIA+ community.
Outside of work, Betty enjoys the arts. She studied film at New York University and is an avid movie fan, an amateur photographer, and a metalcore fan who has traveled throughout the U.S. and to London to support her favorite bands.
