Dr. Ashley Barr, DSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Social Work Professor in the MSW Program with extensive experience supporting individuals and families across school, outpatient, and community-based settings. She provides compassionate, client-centered care through individual therapy, behavioral consultation, group therapy, and social service coordination.

Dr. Barr works with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and athletes of all ages. Her clinical interests and specialties include anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, grief and loss, terminal illness, ADHD, behavioral challenges, social and relational concerns, family systems, and aging and geriatric populations. She is passionate about helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and improve overall emotional wellness in a supportive and collaborative environment.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Barr brings a unique perspective through her background in athletics and coaching. She was recognized as part of the 2024 USCAA Women’s Cross Country Coaches of the Year at Carlow University.
Dr. Barr earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Allegheny College, her master’s degrees in social work and business administration from the University of Pittsburgh, and her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She is committed to creating a welcoming, empowering space where clients feel heard, supported, and encouraged throughout their therapeutic journey.
