Flixie Acuna (she/her), is a Filipina immigrant therapist who is passionate about helping children and adults feel seen, understood, and supported in their healing. Born and raised in the Philippines, she cares deeply about increasing access to mental health care, representation in the therapy space, and offering culturally responsive care that honors each client’s language, identity, and lived experience.
She is especially passionate about supporting immigrants and clients whose pain is shaped not only by individual struggles, but also by family systems, culture, silence, and survival. Flixie works with trauma, anxiety, cultural transitions, migration, and family and relational stress, using EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, EFT, Attachment Theory, and Motivational Interviewing to provide warm, relational, collaborative, and culturally responsive care.
Outside of therapy, she loves spending time near the ocean and hanging out with her two clingy pugs.
Flixie offers sessions in English and Tagalog.
