Hello, my name is Steve Crawford. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate practicing under the supervision of Dr. Demetrius Cofield PHD, LPC-Supervisor.
I am a Graduate from Sam Houston State University, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My graduate training included valuable clinical experience at the Jack Stagg Clinic in Huntsville, Texas, as well as through my time at Journey Through Life. I developed and strengthened my counseling skills while also gaining meaningful experience working with family dynamics and understanding how relationships and life experiences shape overall well-being.
I have experience working with adolescents and young adults navigating a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and sharing their stories. I am also committed to providing culturally responsive and empathetic care, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences that each client brings into the therapeutic space.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and tailored to each individual. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, with the goal of helping clients build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
