Georgia James, LMSW

Therapist

Georgia is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use concerns. She brings a calm, structured, and compassionate approach to therapy, helping clients move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck to taking intentional, sustainable steps forward. With a background in substance use treatment and behavioral health, Georgia focuses on identifying the deeper patterns that impact motivation, follow-through, and emotional regulation.

She integrates Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and DBT-informed strategies to help clients build practical coping tools while gaining insight into long-standing patterns. She is particularly skilled at working with individuals who struggle with avoidance, self-doubt, executive functioning challenges, or major life transitions, and she believes meaningful progress happens when insight is paired with action.

Georgia collaborates with clients to create realistic, measurable goals and strives to create an environment where clients feel both supported and constructively challenged toward growth. Her goal is to help clients not only reduce symptoms but also strengthen confidence, clarity, and long-term resilience.
