Kara Lacy, CSW

Therapist

Kara works with children, adolescents, and families and is passionate about creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. She has experience working in both school-based and clinical settings, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, family stress, and life transitions. Kara believes therapy works best when it is collaborative and tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Kara uses evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help children and teens build coping skills, manage big emotions, and strengthen relationships at home and school. She enjoys partnering with parents and caregivers to support progress outside of sessions.

Kara is currently working toward her LCSW and has a strong interest in pursuing play-based approaches to better support younger children. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and recharging.
