Susan brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to her work with clients. She earned her master’s degree in counseling and has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy. Susan has worked in an outpatient community mental health setting as well as private practice, where she supports children, adolescents, and families, including working within school environments.
She takes a holistic approach to therapy, attending to the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected parts of well-being. She believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one grounded in trust, collaboration, and understanding. By creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space, Susan helps clients feel safe to explore their experiences, gain insight, and work toward personal growth. Her style is thoughtful and engaging, blending reflection, curiosity, and humor to empower clients throughout the therapeutic process.
Using an eclectic, integrative approach, Susan draws from evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. She works collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and build greater self-awareness. Susan supports individuals navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, trauma, interpersonal and relational challenges, life transitions, and other significant changes.
Outside of her clinical work, Susan enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga and meditation, hiking, walking, reading, and traveling.
