Joey is a resident in counseling who received his M. A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He encourages collaboration and believes that meaningful change begins with a sincere and trusting relationship between counselor and client.
Joey has experience in individual and group settings, working with adults contending with various mood, behavioral, and relational concerns. He understands how trauma can impact lives and tailors sessions to the desires and strengths of his clients.
Self-acceptance, compassion, honesty, patience, and humility are virtues that Joey lives by.
In his free time, Joey enjoys listening to music, reading, and watching “Jeopardy!”
