Stacy Shah, School Psychologist, MHC-Intern

Psychologist

Stacy (she/her) is a nationally certified school psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. Her work is grounded in strengthening the connection between individuals and their environments—whether at home, school, work, or within relationships—while helping clients identify their strengths and navigate challenges with greater confidence and self-understanding.

Through her thoughtful and comprehensive evaluations, Stacy helps students and families develop a meaningful understanding of unique learning profiles. These individualized assessments are a cornerstone of her work, uncovering educational needs, emotional strengths, and opportunities for growth that foster resilience, self-advocacy, and long-term success.

Stacy’s clinical work also extends to adults across the lifespan, including those navigating life transitions, identity development, work and academic stress, relationship challenges, executive functioning concerns, and emotional overwhelm. She approaches adult therapy with the same curiosity, empathy, and respect that guide her work with younger clients—helping adults better understand their cognitive and emotional patterns, reconnect with their strengths, and build practical tools for sustainable well-being.

Stacy is a highly effective therapist and behavioral specialist, with notable success supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, learning differences, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, depression, and social challenges. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and person-centered, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy, and strengths-based modalities. She tailors her work to each client’s developmental stage, goals, and lived experience.

Across all ages, Stacy is deeply committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and creating safe, affirming spaces where clients can show up authentically. She is passionate about empowering individuals to develop insight, coping strategies, and self-compassion as they move toward more balanced, fulfilling lives.

Her professional experience spans public schools, institutions of higher education, and community mental health settings, allowing her to work with individuals from preschool age through adulthood across home, school, and community contexts. In addition to individual counseling, Stacy has facilitated groups focused on women’s empowerment, social skills development, emotional and behavioral regulation, executive functioning, and restorative practices.

Outside of the office, Stacy enjoys gardening, hands-on creative projects such as crafting and DIY, and learning about different cultures and cuisines.
