Ravelle is a therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults through a holistic, client-centered approach. She is dedicated to helping clients reclaim autonomy and create meaningful change in their lives. In her sessions, she fosters a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their authentic selves and work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and life transitions.
Currently training to become a dance/movement therapist, Ravelle integrates both traditional and innovative modalities to meet each client’s needs. Her approach is collaborative and tailored, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based interventions. She frequently uses a somatic and mind-body lens, informed by dance/movement therapy techniques, to help clients connect with the wisdom of their bodies. For children and nonverbal clients, she incorporates play therapy strategies and nonverbal expression to create a holding environment. She also applies attachment theory, multicultural counseling, and feminist therapy frameworks, with a deep sensitivity to the ways that systemic oppression and marginalization shape personal experience.
Ravelle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. Her clinical background includes supporting individuals with complex trauma, PTSD, disabilities, domestic violence, neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism), anxiety disorders, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She has worked with clients across the lifespan, from children as young as three through adults in midlife, and is especially skilled in creating a space for processing past experiences, building self-esteem, and fostering resilience.
Ravelle is currently advancing her training toward becoming a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist at the Harkness Dance Center. She is passionate about blending creative expression with evidence-based therapy to empower clients in their healing journey.
