Art Therapist

Liz Dewjee, ATR-BC, LCAT-LP, LPAT, is a Creative Arts Therapist with a master’s degree in Art Therapy & Counseling from The College of New Rochelle and a bachelor’s degree in Art Education with a minor in Painting from SUNY Buffalo State College.

With over a decade of experience, Liz helps people heal and reconnect with themselves through creativity, insight, and meaningful conversation. She has spent the past 10 years working in adult inpatient psychiatry and also worked part-time with adolescents in residential care.

Liz has extensive experience supporting individuals living with schizophrenia spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, major depression, complex trauma, personality disorders, and substance issues. Her therapeutic approach integrates a psychodynamic foundation with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and the transformative power of art. Deeply inspired by nature, symbolism, and the belief that creative expression can reveal what words alone cannot,

Liz offers a multi-modal approach that invites exploration of both struggle and strength on a soul-deep level. She meets each person exactly where they are on their healing journey and creates compassionate pathways for self-awareness, growth, and lasting change. If you’re seeking a space to explore, express, and reclaim your voice, Liz would be honored to walk that path with you.
