Lisa Gerhardt, LICSW

Therapist

My therapeutic approach has always been to build strong relationships with my clients based on respect, trust and compassion. Whether it’s due to a new life stressor, traumatic event, relational problems or deeply held beliefs keeping you stuck in depression and anxiety symptoms, my goal is for my clients to feel safe and heard with whatever they are bringing into the room.

My passion is working with OCD and Anxiety Disorder sufferers, with a niche for ages 14-30 years old. As an OCD and anxiety sufferer myself, I have firsthand knowledge and experience of these disorders and how they impact daily life. OCD and anxiety disorders are often misunderstood and difficult to break free from if you are not using the right tools.

I understand OCD and anxiety on a different level due to being a sufferer myself for many years, and I also understand how to help. Using a combination of belief work, exposure therapy, and other distress tolerance modalities I have found success in helping others gain confidence and get their life back on track.
