Maria is dedicated to fostering resilience, and creating a safe, supportive, empathic, and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, gain self-awareness, and work towards their mental well-being. With experience working with a diverse population, she ensures her approach is inclusive and respectful of each individual’s background.
Maria holds a Master of Social Work from Simmons University and specializes in treating anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive disorder (OCD). Additionally, she offers support to individuals who experience Trichotillomania. As well as those facing depression and other co-occurring mental health challenges.
Trained in various evidence-based treatment modalities, Maria employs techniques such as Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. With a diverse background in both outpatient and residential clinical settings, Maria is well prepared to assist clients from all backgrounds. Maria is fluent in both English and Armenian.
