Life can be challenging and the additional obstacles of change, strong emotions and a lack of a sense of control can make the challenge feel overwhelming. She partners with people to help them learn skills to overcome or manage these obstacles in order to feel a better sense of control and resilience.

In 2009, Brandy began her career working with adults struggling with addictions and mental health issues such as depression and anxiety with a family systems perspective. In 2012, she began working with adolescents, children and families, as a school-based therapist addressing challenges related to ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression and executive-functioning skills deficits. In 2019, she returned to working with adults as well, in a private-practice setting, focusing on adults dealing with depression, anxiety and problems in their relationships.

Brandy strongly believes in empowering those with whom she works with to feel strong and able to handle obstacles in life. Her approach is client and family centered, focused on evidenced based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. She utilizes dialectical behavioral techniques and mindfulness strategies as well. Her therapeutic interests in the areas of parenting and family issues and clinical areas of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression and anxiety.
