About Stephanie Kenton
I have known since freshman year of high school that I wanted to be a therapist. I started pursuing that dream by leaving my small hometown in Florida and attending Flagler College in 2009. In May 2012 I graduated with my bachelors degree in psychology and quickly entered graduate school in August 2012 to purse my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling. While at Stetson, I became a certified play therapist and graduated in December 2015. I have worked extensively with children and adults that have survived the unthinkable, helping them to rewrite their story and take back their lives. Play therapy has offered me a unique way of engaging with children, literally getting down on the floor and meeting them where they are at. I strive to give each client unconditional support, acknowledging that while I may be an “expert” in the therapy part of things, each client is an expert on themselves.
