Evnika Elrod, MSW Intern
Evnika is a Master of Social Work intern who is passionate about helping adults navigate the challenges that can come with relationships, life transitions, anxiety, stress, trauma, self-esteem, and feeling overwhelmed or stuck. She believes that seeking therapy takes courage and strives to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where clients can feel safe being honest about what they are experiencing.
Evnika takes a person-centered, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy. She believes that every person has unique experiences, strengths, and goals, and that therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. She works alongside clients to better understand their experiences, identify patterns that may be holding them back, develop healthy coping skills, and recognize the strengths they already possess.
Her clinical experience includes providing individual therapy in both outpatient and school-based settings, completing comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments, developing treatment plans, and helping clients connect with community resources. She has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. Her previous work as a Behavioral Technician also strengthened her ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships and provide individualized support.
Evnika is especially interested in supporting adults who are navigating major life changes, difficult relationships, anxiety, emotional challenges, past experiences of trauma, or periods when life simply feels harder than expected. She understands that there is no single path to healing and believes therapy should be a space where clients can move at their own pace while feeling supported, respected, and empowered.
Above all, Evnika wants her clients to know that they do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. She strives to meet each person where they are, listen without judgment, and walk alongside them as they work toward greater self-understanding, confidence, connection, and well-being.
