About Emely Marchena Gonzalez

Emely is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at George Mason University who is completing her clinical training as a graduate intern with Ellie Mental Health Woodbridge. She has experience working with children, adults, older adults, and families from diverse backgrounds and is passionate about supporting people as they navigate mental health and life challenges.

Through her work helping individuals access community resources and her previous school-based practicum, Emely has developed experience supporting individuals and families with a variety of needs. At Ellie Mental Health Woodbridge, she is continuing to develop her clinical skills while providing support to clients in Woodbridge, Prince William County, and surrounding Northern Virginia communities.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Emely moved to the United States at age 15. Her personal and professional experiences have contributed to her interest in working with people from different cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences. She is passionate about advocacy and believes in helping clients feel heard, supported, and connected to the resources they need.

Emely is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at George Mason University.

Outside of her clinical work and studies, Emely enjoys photography, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out with her cat, Louis.
