Akami (she/her) is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in Kentucky with a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University. Having grown up in NKY, Akami recently relocated here after living in New England for 13 years. She is a mom to three – one human child and two rescue pups.
Akami has experience working with adults from various populations and needs of service in office settings, out in the community, and home-based. In her latest role, she supported individuals with a range of housing needs, life skills challenges, mental health barriers, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. Her approach is the same with all: compassionate, non-judgmental listening and collaborative goal-setting.
