Sumintra is a Resident in Counseling who believes therapy can be a space for both deep growth and meaningful celebration along the way. Her clinical experience includes community mental health and outpatient therapy settings, working with children, teens, and adults in individual, couples, family, and group therapy

Sumintra draws from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Supportive Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, thoughtfully tailoring each session to meet clients where they are and collaboratively support their goals.
As a proud second-generation Caribbean American, Sumintra values cultural humility and open-mindedness. She remains mindful of how cultural identity, societal influences, and personal history shape each person’s lived experience

Outside of her clinical work, Sumintra enjoys exercising, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new cuisines
