Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern

Jaime grew up in Upstate New York, but moved to the Pittsburgh area after high school, and finally to St. Augustine, Florida in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California University of Pennsylvania, where she did an independent study on childhood trauma. Following graduation, Jaime worked as a Personal Care Aid in a private school for children with behavioral and emotional struggles. She decided to continue her education, graduating from Capella University with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jaime will be working as a Registered Mental Health Intern supervised by Kathleen Stevens.

Jaime has a passion for helping others and enjoys working with a variety of populations including children, teens, and adults. She takes a person-centered, humanistic approach to counseling to build the rapport that is vital to the counseling relationship. From there, she utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, including solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavioral interventions.
