Larchmont – Mamaroneck
Larchmont, NY 10538
Valerie has a background in psychology and communications and holds a Master’s degree in Education with a counseling focus. She spent 15 years working in Student Activities and Leadership at a college, guiding students as they planned and carried out events from the first idea to the final details. Along the way, she helped them build leadership skills, manage competing priorities, work through challenges, and gain confidence in their ability to follow through. Valerie is a professor of First Year Seminar, a course aimed at helping students adjust to college life, build good habits, and make use of the resources available to them.
Valerie has worked with people at many stages of life. Her experience with children includes multi-sports coaching, planning and leading leadership activities, and helping kids add practical skills to their life skills toolbox. She also helps adults navigate “adulting,” from organizing their digital lives (hello, overflowing inbox!) to finding ways to manage everything on their plates.
At Ellie, Valerie helps clients strengthen their executive functioning skills through personalized strategies for planning, organization, time management, and follow-through. She understands how overwhelming it can feel when you’re unsure where to start and helps clients break challenges into manageable steps. Drawing on her experience with children, college students, and adults, Valerie helps each person build skills and confidence they can use in everyday life. She loves a good checklist or color-coded calendar, but she knows the best system is one that works for YOU —and she’ll help you find it!
