About Makayla Dineen
Makayla is a mental health therapist with Ellie Mental Health Woodbridge who works with young and middle-aged adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, and the emotional challenges that can accompany chronic illness. She is also interested in working with adolescents and teens as they navigate the challenges of growing up.

Makayla uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundation for her work, while incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. She tailors her approach to each client’s needs, helping clients develop practical coping skills, better understand their thoughts and emotions, and find healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges.
Makayla believes therapy should be a space where clients feel supported and empowered to create meaningful change. She strives to provide a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, recognizing their strengths, and developing effective tools for greater balance and well-being.
