Caprice Kennedy works with children ages 3–14 who are navigating big emotions, behavioral challenges, trauma, bullying, identity development, and family stressors. Many children are trying to make sense of their experiences without always having the words to express what they’re feeling. Caprice’s goal is to help children feel safe, seen, and supported while building confidence, emotional regulation skills, and a positive sense of self.
Caprice offers Christian counseling and secular counseling, with Christian counseling available for families who desire a faith-based approach. When providing Christian counseling, she uses a Christian lens to inform the therapeutic process, integrating faith, biblical principles, and the child’s relationship with God in a developmentally appropriate and compassionate way. Secular counseling is also available for families who prefer a therapeutic approach without the integration of faith.
Caprice uses play, storytelling, movement, art, mindfulness, and other creative techniques to help children express their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and feel more grounded. She takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach and draws from play therapy, CBT, narrative therapy, IFS, and expressive arts techniques, tailoring her approach to each child’s individual needs.
It’s not always easy to ask for help, especially when a child is struggling. Caprice is committed to meeting each child and family with warmth, compassion, creativity, and care. Whether a family chooses Christian or secular counseling, she provides a safe and supportive space where children can process their experiences, strengthen their emotional well-being, and build confidence. For families seeking Christian counseling, Caprice incorporates a faith-based lens throughout the therapeutic journey, offering support rooted in compassion, hope, and faith.
