Let’s get one thing straight: therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or clinical. It can be honest, real, even a little funny. You won’t find judgment here—you’ll find someone who listens like a teammate, shows up like a coach, and roots for you like a best friend. I’m Zach, a licensed clinical social worker who brings a big heart, a calm presence, and a no-BS attitude into every session. I’m the therapist version of that one coach or teacher who actually got you—and helped you believe in yourself again.
Whether you’re a teen trying to find your footing, a college student questioning your identity, a seasoned adult navigating grief or transition, or someone who’s always felt like the outsider—I’ve got you. I work with clients 12 and up, and I especially love connecting with people who feel like they don’t fit the mold. The nerds, the gamers, the overachievers, the introverts. The jocks who struggle with perfectionism. The ones carrying quiet pain behind big laughs or brave faces.
Clients often describe me as supportive, direct, humorous, and grounding. I bring a steady energy to the room—and I don’t flinch when things get heavy. I meet you where you are, whether you’re ready to talk through trauma or just barely holding it together. You can come in messy. You can come in unsure. I’ll hold the space until you feel ready to step into it.
My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, suicidal ideation, substance use, OCD symptoms, anger, self-esteem, life transitions, and men’s issues. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Positive Psychology, and person-centered care—tailoring each session to your pace, your goals, and your story.
I’m particularly passionate about helping people build self-esteem, self-acceptance, and—maybe hardest of all—self-forgiveness. If you’ve been struggling with how to set boundaries, how to speak up, or how to stop beating yourself up for things you can’t change, we’ll work on that. If you feel stuck, like your life is happening to you instead of being led by you—we’ll untangle that too.
I’ve worked with LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC communities, veterans, immigrants, older adults, and—yes—plenty of fellow geeks, gamers, introverts, misfits, and athletes. Whether you’re into gaming, track stats like a fantasy football pro, or feel like your armor’s been cracked by life lately, this is a space where you can be fully, authentically you.
What do I want you to walk away with after therapy? A better understanding of yourself. More compassion for your past. Real tools to manage anxiety, depression, or the spiral of overthinking. And maybe even a new story about who you are and what you’re capable of.
Before we begin, know this: all of you is welcome here. Your weird, your wits, your wounds. You don’t need to have a perfect narrative or a clear goal. You just need to show up. I’ll bring the steady belief in your capacity to grow.
