Holding a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-C) in Virginia, she provides comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations alongside evidence-based psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. Belt specializes in trauma-focused therapy, utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients process distressing experiences, reshape unhelpful patterns, and build lasting emotional stability.
With specialized training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Dr. Belt partners closely with caregivers and children to heal relational wounds, improve communication, and strengthen attachment after traumatic events. Her clinical approach looks beyond a single symptom or diagnosis, evaluating how emotional, developmental, and environmental factors intersect in each person’s life. In a grounded, nonjudgmental setting, Dr. Belt empowers clients to navigate behavioral hurdles, process past trauma, and achieve sustainable personal growth.
