Therapy doesn’t always start with a crisis. Sometimes it starts with a quiet feeling that something’s just a little off. You might be juggling more roles than ever, showing up for others while barely keeping up with yourself. Maybe you’ve hit a wall in a relationship, are navigating the complexities of new parenthood, or feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy gives you a space to pause, reflect, and get curious—and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I’m Theresa (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I work with young adults, adults, and older adults who are ready to make sense of what’s feeling heavy and create space for something more grounded and meaningful. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or one of life’s many changes that leave you questioning who you are or where you’re headed, I bring a steady, thoughtful presence to session—along with a compassionate curious mind.
My approach is reflective, collaborative, and gently challenging when needed. I aim to create a space where you feel grounded enough to be honest, and supported enough to explore hard things. We’ll take our time, but we’ll also move forward—identifying the patterns that keep showing up, building self-awareness, and developing practical tools you can carry with you beyond our sessions. I believe therapy can be both productive and deeply human—a place where insight, warmth, and meaningful change go hand in hand.
I’m especially passionate about supporting people through transitions—whether that’s the identity shifts that come with becoming a parent, navigating early adulthood, repairing or deepening a partnership, or learning to show up for yourself in a new way. I often work with folks exploring perinatal and postpartum mental health, relationship issues, trauma, substance use and recovery, codependency, disordered eating, and emotion regulation challenges. I also enjoy working with adults who are looking to reconnect with their values, reestablish self-trust, or build healthier communication in relationships. For some clients, this includes exploring the role of spirituality or faith in their healing process. Whether it’s revisiting beliefs that once felt grounding or navigating spiritual identity in a more expansive way, I welcome conversations that honor both your inner experience and the community or culture you come from.
You can expect therapy with me to include a combination of insight, skill-building, and space to slow down. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. I’m also Gottman trained and incorporate mindfulness, behavioral activation, harm reduction, relapse prevention, and solution-focused strategies when they’re helpful. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your needs and goals—one that honors your story while also giving you space to grow into something new.
In therapy, whatever you’re bringing in—whether it’s anxiety, relationship stress, parenting overwhelm, or burnout—I’ll meet you there. Some sessions might be reflective and quiet. Others might be full of ideas and action steps. Wherever we land, I’ll work with you to make therapy feel like a space that’s genuinely useful, not just a weekly check-in.
It doesn’t require a perfect starting point—just a willingness for change and exploration. We can begin our journey there, without all the answers; all it takes is a little openness to start. I’ll walk alongside you as you reconnect with your voice, your values, and the life you want to build.
Whenever you’re ready, I’ll be here—cardigan on, curiosity intact, and space open.
