Sydney is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where individuals can heal, grow, and become the best version of themselves. She has experience providing individual and group therapy to a diverse range of clients and supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, identity development, and emotional regulation.
Sydney takes an integrative and individualized approach to counseling, drawing from psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered principles, strength-based frameworks, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rather than fitting clients into a single mold, she believes in meeting each person exactly where they are and tailoring treatment to honor their unique story, strengths, values, and goals.
As a former collegiate athlete and current coach, Sydney has a special passion for working with athletes, adolescents, and young adults. She understands firsthand that while sports can be incredibly rewarding, exciting, and empowering, they can also bring stress, anxiety, pressure, unrealistic expectations, and challenges that often go unspoken. Sydney believes that athletes are humans first, with lives, identities, and challenges that extend far beyond sports, and that the athletic experience can often intensify the normal complexities of everyday life. She is passionate about helping athletes recognize that addressing mental health is not a sign of weakness, but rather an opportunity for growth, resilience, and greatness both on and off the field, court, track, or ice.
Outside of the therapy office, Sydney enjoys staying active and competitive through running, lifting, and pickleball. She also loves cooking and baking for family and friends and can often be found cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Capitals.
