The decision to seek counseling can be a difficult one. I believe it takes strength and courage to begin that journey. I work with adolescents and adults to assist with building individual strengths and increasing insight to help you face whatever challenges life has brought you.
Susan is a licensed professional counselor working in the Ellie Mental Health St. Peters location. Susan believes it takes courage to seek counseling and begin a journey to seek change. She will help you to establish goals and explore paths to reach those destinations. Susan utilizes strength based and CBT approaches to provide individualized care and treatment for each client to best meet their needs. She works with adults and adolescents to assist in building individual strengths and increasing insight to help you face whatever challenges life has brought you. Susan is available for appointments during business hours and some limited evening hours. During the initial session, she will welcome you to the office for an assessment to get to know you and explore your reasons for seeking treatment. She will seek to learn about symptoms you have been experiencing, explore how you cope and what you have already tried to relieve those symptoms. She will get to know you and begin to formulate a map for your journey to positive change.
