Reece enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults as they navigate the emotions, experiences, and challenges that often impact their daily lives. He has a particular interest in supporting clients experiencing common mental health concerns such as anxiety and emotional dysregulation, as well as behavioral challenges, communication difficulties, unhealthy coping patterns, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and the effects of trauma or other difficult experiences.
Reece places a strong emphasis on building trust and creating a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, understood, accepted, and free to explore their experiences without judgment. He uses a variety of evidence-based and creative approaches, including play therapy, expressive arts, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution focused/brief therapy (SFBT), and trust-based relational intervention (TBRI) principles. Reece incorporates age-appropriate and engaging activities to help clients explore and communicate their experiences in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful to them.
He enjoys helping clients and their families better understand the emotions, needs, and experiences behind challenging or unwanted behaviors while developing more effective ways to communicate, cope, and respond. Reece recognizes that all behaviors are often a form of communication, particularly for those who may not yet have the words to express what they are experiencing or needing.
When he’s not in the therapy room, Reece can usually be found spending quality time with his favorite people—family, friends, and anyone who is willing to laugh at his jokes.
