About Rachel Vrbas
Hello, my name is Rachel Vrbas, T-LMFT. I hold a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. I provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families to help relieve the stressors of everyday life like anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, substance use, family conflict or marital strain. Throughout my years of working in community mental health, I have worked with client populations of all ages ranging from children to older adults. It amazes and inspires me how all my clients have strengths that allow them to face life’s challenges and life authentically. In my practice with individuals, I use Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), with a client-focused, emotions, and values-based approach to help my clients learn skills to feel more confident in their day-to-day life. With families, I use a family systems and structural approach to explore the boundaries, and dynamics within the family to help improve communication, reduce family conflicts, and empower parents. With couples, I use evidenced-based methods from Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and the Gottman Method to strengthen a couple’s connection to improve their overall relationship. Overall, my goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, secure space for my clients to feel supported and empowered as they go through their therapy journey.
